Courage Over Perfection

Oh how I’ve missed you guys! I’ve given myself permission to enjoy the summer and make memories with my girls. While I’ve been flooded with ideas, I’ve been jotting them down because between blogging and building my business I could be glued to my computer all day (and night). So in the spirit of self-kindness, I’ve held a reduced posting schedule over the summer. We only have a couple of weeks left before we start school up and things will be back to normal around here.

In the meantime, I wanted to share something with you. I published this post on Facebook today and hadn’t realized that the corrected version hadn’t saved. Continue reading “Courage Over Perfection”

Don’t Stunt Your Growth!

I have to admit there was a vast portion of my life where I tried to avoid challenge. I was a perfectionist and wanted to be good at everything I did. I saw weakness when I was challenged and would try to avoid it at all costs. Continue reading “Don’t Stunt Your Growth!”

Owning Your Self-Worth

Self-worth is an interesting topic. Society would have you believe that it comes from being validated by others. That sense of self-worth is also superficial. It comes from being an acceptable size. Looking a certain way. Driving a nice vehicle. Having a big house. Holding a job that earns a lot of money and affords […]

A Piece of Me

It’s funny, as I opened my blog on a tab to start this draft, I wasn’t sure what I was going to write about. I noticed how much I loved the header images on the last three posts that were on my screen. I couldn’t help but smile and think how far I’ve come. Then I thought that maybe I should go back and update the images on my older posts. How in the world did I think those looked good? Continue reading “A Piece of Me”

Set Your August Intentions

As we’re about to step into a new month, it’s a great time for reflection. A time to evaluate the past month and what’s worked well for you, what you want to continue, and what you want to stop. This is a great way to keep your intention fresh in your mind and be open to ways to make it come to fruition. Continue reading “Set Your August Intentions”

Little Things

Sharing this beautiful flower I saw with you so it can help brighten your day ❤

No matter what you’re going through, there’s always something to be thankful for. If you’re going through a rough time, it can be easy to lose sight of the things that you have to be grateful for. I want to encourage you to look for something anyway. When you least feel like it is when you should do it most. Continue reading “Little Things”

Fun Rocks!

Having fun rocks! Sorry, I couldn’t resist. One thing I noticed about myself is as I grew out of adolescence and into adulthood was that I stopped having fun! Continue reading “Fun Rocks!”

Relativity & Perception

Something that’s been getting my attention lately is relativity. This ties into perception and how things aren’t always what they seem. Time, space, size, distance are all examples of things that are relative. Two minutes might not seem like much time if you’re waiting for food to heat up but getting to an airport two minutes late you could miss your plane. Twenty miles doesn’t seem like a long distance to drive but might seem like a daunting distance to walk. Continue reading “Relativity & Perception”

Sandy Pit of Overwhelm

Do you ever feel completely overwhelmed like you’re in quicksand and can’t get out? I know this happens to me every now and then. It can be so difficult to pull yourself out but you have to find your way back to level ground. When I’m at that point, I have a way of giving into that sinking feeling and thinking things are worse than they are. Continue reading “Sandy Pit of Overwhelm”
