I was a bit sensitive last week in the Fit Friday post. I'd just stared yoga classes and as excited as I was to recommit to my fitness journey and bring some accountability by signing up for a group class, I wasn't expecting for it to be so... emotional. I had gone to two classes …
I have to be honest, I haven't been committed to my fitness for the past month and a half. Last Friday was my last day at work so I made a decision that this month I was going to focus on being more active. We started renting a car about two months ago and that was the …
Another day that the A-Z Challenge post consumed my blogging time and left me with none to write my regularly scheduled post. I can’t say I’m disappointed because I’m able to spread the blog love and share this great post that I scrolled by on my reader.
Check it out and make sure to leave your comments on Maryana’s blog! Happy Friday everyone! I hope that you are striving to reach your fitness goals!
Working as fitness nutritionist for about a year now, I can tell with a certainty that a big part of being a nutritionist is being a psychologist. In order to help people, I have to listen carefully to what they have to say. Usually, people have to say a lot. What bothers them, what they want to achieve, what makes them happy, what makes them upset, what changes they have tried so far in their diets and how it didn’t work. Also, they share with me their family and work issues. Here I listen carefully too. Both, family and work make a huge impact on client’s success.
As a trainer, I can teach my clients how to eat properly according to their goals but it is up to them to provide the knowledge they’ve just received into life. During the program, I meet the client on a regular basis to…

My daughter had a dance performance last night and I spent my blog time doing last minute seamstress repairs to her outfit...I'm no seamstress so it took much longer than I hoped. So today is another recycled post! I hope that you're doing great on your fitness journey! I'm stalled at the moment, not gaining …
Spreading the blog love on this beautiful Good Friday. A great post explaining what vitamin B12 is and why we need it. This blogger participated in my original meet and greet and I’m glad because
I was able to find this blog I love all of the information available. Check out the original post and be sure to share your love over there! Happy Friday! I’m off for a family adventure so I’ll see you Saturday!
After ‘Where do you get your protein/calcium/iron from?’ most vegans will sooner or later have to face the B12 question.
It is an important topic, but not just for vegans: B12 deficiency can occur in meat-eaters (farm animals are often deficient and require supplementation), as well as pregnant women and breast-fed infants whose mothers are vegan, whilst the over-50’s can be deficient due to poorer absorption.
So what is B12, why do we need it, where do we find it, how much do we need and in what form?
B12 is a water-soluble vitamin that is one of the compounds required by the body to convert food into energy. It is required for a healthy nervous system, good bone health and in the development and protection of nerve cells and red blood cells.
B12 deficiency can have severe effects on adults, babies and children, long-term vegans, raw food and macrobiotic…

I’ve been really good about my recent lifestyle change. Eating better, drinking more water, living a more active lifestyle. There’s one big struggle though, overcoming my craving for delicious desserts!
So this week’s Fit Friday post is dedicated to doing things in moderation. As much as I’d like to have chocolate for dessert everyday, I know I need to limit it to every other day 😉
I’d like to share this recipe posted by a fellow blogger who has just hit a milestone of reaching 100 followers! Help me support Angie and congratulate her on this first of many milestones to come. So click to enjoy this perfect sweet tooth fix! You can never go wrong with chocolate and strawberries!!
Happy Friday! Keep up the good work! If this wasn’t the best week, don’t worry about it just put more effort into this week coming up, until then just enjoy your strawberries and chocolate over the weekend, might as well start fresh on Monday!
Thank You X 101…..
Today I would like to start out by thanking everyone who has stopped by my blog. This morning my subscription counter rolled over to 101 followers. I appreciate all of the support, and comments, that everyone has left since I started a little over 7 months ago. A fellow blogger, Nikki, over at The Richness of a Simple Life started having regular “meet and greets” on her blog when she reached 100 followers. Ever since I met Nikki my followers have just boomed. I told her that when I reached 100 that I would also start hosting “meet and greets” to give back some of the love to fellow bloggers just like she is doing. (I believe we initially met during one of Danny’s meet and greet weekends at Dream Big Dream Often) So, in saying that, I will be hosting my first “meet…

Not going to bore you this week with a blow by blow update on my progress. I'll give you the rundown and just say I've been doing well, two people told me they've noticed I've lost weight (hooray for that!) and I've kept up with my good choices. So, on to the fun stuff! I …
I want to look and feel better in my 30's than I did in my 20's. It's never too late to live the life you want to have
I am debating on possibly transitioning to vegetarianism. I became a pescatarian for about 4 months a few years ago. Leave it to me to make a radical change with the holidays around the corner, Thanksgiving was too much temptation to resist.
I have had these two thoughts on my mind all week so I thought the quotes would be the perfect fit for my Fit Friday post.
