Goodbye Hopelessness, Hello Intention!

Quotes for FB (1).png

This week’s quote resonates with me on a soul level! I’m someone who lives my life from a place of intention but I wasn’t always that way. In fact, I used to live my life from a place of hopelessness and reaction. I thought things happened to me and I was just lucky to survive them. I felt powerless. After training myself to overcome the negative thought patterns I had created, I now live my life in a child-like manner. The only limits are the ones I place on myself.

No matter what area of my life it is, I’m always setting intentions. I have an intention for how I go through the day, how I parent, the partner I intend to be, the posts I publish, and the way I run my business. I regularly evaluate my actions and make sure they’re in line with my intention and check my motives for doing things. The interesting thing is, I don’t do it in a controlling way. I don’t need to be certain of every step of the journey. I’m open to the path as it unfolds, I just mark the destination. I know where I’m going, have an idea of how I can get there, and I’m open to the other paths that present themselves along the way.

Today I just wanted to encourage you to live your life intentionally. You are a powerful, resourceful, and creative being. You always have choices and there are always options if you’re open to seeing them. Living your life from a place of intention is a much more empowering way to go through life. This month, I’m guiding those who are open to creating an Intention Plan. With 2018 around the corner, people are going to start throwing that buzz word around that won’t be spoken of again until the end of next year. Instead of making resolutions, I’ll help you take it a step further. Not only will you have a clear intention, but a plan you can execute to help you cultivate the results. If you know you need to get intentional with your life, let me help you. Sign up here to get your Intention Plan and email support from me in the month of December. It’s my gift to you.

Do you regularly set intentions? How can you benefit from setting intentions rather than reacting to life? I’d love to hear your thoughts on this post, feel free to share in the comments!

Don’t forget that together we can do more! My 9-year-old daughter and I are raising funds to donate backpacks full of necessities to the homeless. 100% of the proceeds will go towards purchasing necessities. I’m calling on my online community to come together and show what can happen when we work together! If all you have is $1, don’t underestimate the power of that dollar! If every subscriber donated $1, there’d be over $4,000 to contribute towards this effort. Thank you in advance for donating what you can and sharing on social media so others can contribute as well.

Donate & Share!

As always, sending you lots of love and wishing you all that you need to live your life intentionally!

  1. Great post! I do believe in intentions! I set simple, precise ones every year and am still running everything through the ones I set in January. My intentions for 2017 were (and will continue to be) be present, be authentic, and be grateful. I am still working on them, so they will remain with me. For 2018 my intention is to have a beginner’s mind. These are zeroed in to last the whole year but, like you, I set intentions for each individual task I take on. Because like you I used to live my life being reactionary instead of intentional. It does have the effect of being freeing rather than restrictive.

    1. I’m so glad to hear that! What wonderful intentions!! How funny is that? My former perfectionist ways would have been very focused on the control factor rather than focused on how to get the results. It’s interesting to me how focusing on the intention and coming up with a map but letting the plan unfolds works out better than I could have planned it 9 times out of 10! To an intentional 2018! ❤
