A few participants requested that we regroup and share how the Kindness Challenge held earlier this year impacted us. So for those of you who participated, I’m opening up the forum to discuss it. In the comments, feel free to share what you’ve learned about yourself in the months since the challenge ended, what impacted you, what you carry with you from that challenge or anything else you want to share.
For me personally, the biggest awareness that I have is that kindness is not only a choice but a practice. There are many opportunities throughout the day to practice kindness and it’s often the times when it’s the hardest and I feel like doing it the least that it’s needed the most. So every day my intention is that my actions, words, and reactions stem from a place of love and kindness. This is truly a practice, sometimes I fail miserably and excel beautifully on the same day. At the end of the day, I make sure to extend myself the same kindness I give others. I evaluate what I could have done better without shaming or guilting myself and move forward with grace and self-compassion.
Speaking of kindness, today a book all about kindness has been released! I’m honored that I had the opportunity to be one of the contributing authors of Goodness Abounds: 365 True Stories of Loving Kindness. If you’ve been following this blog, you’ll know that one of the things I did to cultivate a more positive mindset was to stop watching the news. This is the perfect replacement for a news segment! I encourage you to see what one page a day will do in your life! If you purchase a copy today, you can enter to win one of many prize giveaways including a coaching session with me. To raising the tide of kindness!
I can’t wait to hear your thoughts and experience in the months since The Kindness Challenge concluded in the comments! Thank you for participating, I look forward to next year’s! ❤
Sending you lots of love and wishing you all that you need to raise the tide of kindness!
