Progress Over Perfection

In this post, I’m sharing where perfectionism stemmed from for me and how I unexpectedly released it! Any perfectionists in the house? Don’t worry, I won’t ask you to say I!

I was a perfectionist for as long as I can remember. Wanting to do things just right, getting them right on the first try, and having high expectations of myself. 1. I have spent the last year learning to love myself and forgive myself.. It’s hasn’t been a easy road with sit back and holes in the road.. Having self love has taught me not to beg for crumbs from any man.. Thanks for sharing..

  2. When I read this blog post the day before I just had to leave a comment. It’s very inspiring how your shared your story with the world. I’m still learning to love myself and I too suffer from Depression. I take it one day at a time.

    1. I’m so glad you came back to leave a comment, Temeka. ❤ So glad you found this post! I know what it's like, it can be a very difficult battle to fight. One that's fought inside and the world around can be oblivious to. I want to encourage you to think of 1 small thing to be grateful for every day. Think about how different your life is because of it and how it helps you. Seriously start small, like a toothbrush. Being thankful that you have it because you can take care of your teeth and then think of all of the reasons why it's so great to have one. Gratitude works wonders and it doesn't matter what it is but starting small can help when you don't feel like you have anything to be grateful for and it can prevent you from thinking of something that then turns sour. So start small every day, even a few times a day and see how that makes you feel. Sending you lots of love, Tameka. Thanks again for stopping by ❤ ❤ ❤
