Week 4 Theme | Kindness Role Model
After three weeks of focusing on self-kindness, we’re stepping into the first week of extending kindness to others. I thought a great way to start would be by thinking of the people in our lives who inspire us to be more kind and make kindness a part of our lives. Whether it’s someone you know in person or not, think of the people who model kindness with their actions and words. You’re never too old for a role model! This week, think how your kindness role model would respond when it’s hard to extend kindness.
In a world where you can be anything, be kind.
Kindness Role Model Exercise-
Make a list of up to five people who inspire you to be the change you want to see in the world. Why do they inspire you? What traits of kindness do they practice? How can you incorporate those elements of kindness into your life?
Another option for this week is to write a letter to your kindness role model. Tell them how much they mean to you, how they’ve impacted your life, and why you consider them a kindness role model. I’ll leave it up to you to decide what to do with the letter.
If you can think of a different exercise to incorporate, feel free to do so.
Don’t forget to reblog or share this post using #revofkindness so we can get as many people to participate as possible!
Reflection Prompt | You pick the day to post!
At the end of this week, post your reflection. How was your experience? What did you struggle with? What surprised you? What did you learn? What will you stop doing? What will you work on? What will you start doing? Feel free to share as much as you’re comfortable with. You’d be surprised by how many of your readers will be able to relate to how you feel and who you might encourage.
Use the #revofkindness tag on social media and Rev of Kindness tag on WordPress to help spread the word about this challenge.
