Progress Over Perfection

Blog (1).png

I know the illusion of perfection is appealing. The thing is, perfection has a way of holding us back. It can make us feel like we can’t move forward until we’re “ready”. If we wait on being perfect, we’ll miss out on a lot of opportunities. I want to encourage you to strive for progress instead. Progress can be messy, it doesn’t look as pretty as perfection. But progress is taking steps every day that get you to where you want. So draw on your everyday courage, pack up some determination, and continue on your journey courageously!

Did you need this reminder today? What are you going to do to take steps to where you want to get this week?Β Feel free to share in the comments!Β

  1. Thank you for this! I used to always tell myself I had to be perfect. Otherwise, I would disappoint people. But I’ve come to realize that nothing and nobody is perfect. Life is messy, but that’s what makes it beautiful.

    1. The thing is, someone will likely be disappointed no matter what. I’m glad you realize no one is perfect and striving for perfection it’s unrealistic. Embrace your perfectly imperfect self and enjoy it πŸ’–πŸ’–

  2. This is a lovely reminder to myself. I am not aiming for perfection exactly, I am aiming for success but your advice applies there too–success cannot come if you dont make teeny tiny progress every single day.

    1. Yes! In my case it has to do with the process. I’m in the process of launching my first book. I could stall on each step for ages! There’s so much to know and do but at some point I have to decide where to draw the line or it will never be available ti others πŸ’– Keep taking steps that lead where you want to go. You might not get there overnight but each day you’ll be a step closer πŸ’–
