The Grind, Seeds, & Patience

This goes out to all of you who need a gentle reminder that results aren’t always instant. In a world of instant gratification, it can be hard to grind every day and not see the results. Just because you don’t see it, doesn’t mean it’s not happening. The process reminds me of plants. When my daughter was in 1st grade, we did a project where we planted seeds inside ziplock bags and watched them grow. Had we planted them outside, we wouldn’t have been able to see all that was going on!

We took pictures each day and were amazed to see the changes. At first, they were subtle and to the untrained eye seemed like there was nothing going on. When we compared the pictures we could see the shape and size of the seed change. Some seeds sprouted within days while others took weeks! The same is true for the things going on in your life. Some projects come together quickly while others take more time, energy, and nurturing to mature. I just want to encourage you to keep grinding, keep putting in the effort, keep tending to your seeds because before you know it, you’ll have such a harvest you won’t know what to do with it!
