“I define connection as the energy that exists between people when they feel seen, heard, and valued; when they can give and receive without judgment; and when they derive sustenance and strength from the relationship.”

-Brené Brown

In a time where we are arguably more connected than ever, how connected do you really feel? How connected are you to yourself? Others? The world? Can you improve your sense of connection? What can you do to improve it?

Feel free to share your thoughts or responses to any of the questions in the comments.

  1. Aptly put Nikki! In today’s world we are virtually more connected than ever but in reality, we could not be any less connected! We have a plethora of friends, followers on social platforms but we struggle to maintain an emotional connection with people who actually matter because we are so engrossed in sorting out the chaos of our everyday lives! Needless to say, we have even less time to connect with our inner selves, as we are fiercely competing to excel in some sort of race to survive, that we forget to live!

  2. I feel more connected to myself than ever because of all the mediation and mindfulness I’ve been practicing. I also feel more connected to the world because it’s super easy to read news happening across the world….plus my blog pulls in readers from countries I’ve never heard of!
