If you haven’t seen this video on Facebook, I’m sharing it because I think the message is something many people can relate to. From the time we’re young we’re often wanting and wishing to be in the the next phase without ever having enjoyed the one we’re in. There’s no going back and once the time has passed we can’t make it up. Are you enjoying the moment you’re in or are you always dying to get to the next phase?
This is something I found myself doing as a kid, always wanting to grow up. I now find myself telling my 8 year old who never wanted to grow up, to slow down there will be plenty of time for that when you’re older; for now just enjoy being a kid! I’m learning how to be in the moment more and more, and learning to appreciate each phase while I’m in it. I don’t want to look back on moments wishing I had enjoyed them more at the time and I know I don’t want to look back on my life to realize I never lived it. I’m doing my best to make the most of each day, celebrate the phase I’m in and enjoy the moment.
What are your thoughts on this video? Can you relate? Did you need this gentle reminder? What changes can you make today to help you stop dying to live?
Here’s another thought-provoking post in case you missed it the first time!
