Teachable Tuesday|Opportunities

Life doesn’t always give you what you want but it does give you the circumstances to make it happen. The tricky part is recognizing the opportunities that help you learn how to do it. There are probably plenty of chances you’re overlooking because you don’t realize that’s your lesson that will help you grow and achieve what you’re wishing and praying for. You don’t just suddenly become patient, you learn how to be patient. You don’t wake up rich, you learn how to manage what you have better so when you have more you know how to manage that. You might want a better job, what can you learn from the one you’re in until you land that job that takes you to the next step?

Sometimes we have to evaluate our situations and identify the opportunity to learn what it is we're asking to have. (1).png

If you feel like your prayers aren’t being answered, I encourage you to take a look at the situations in your life that provide you with opportunities that you might be overlooking. Many times, things aren’t given to us they’re acquired. When you ask for things going forward, remember to look for the circumstances that provide you with plenty of chances to learn, grow, and cultivate what it is you’re asking for. The more you practice the better you’ll get, maybe that’s why you’re presented with so many situations to learn.

Do you find this ringing true for you? Did this shed any light on recurring themes in your life right now? Did this help bring a different perspective to something? Does this change the way you see anything in your life? I’d love to hear your thoughts, feel free to share in the comments!

    1. Reminds me of a saying I recently heard, “you have to pray and row your boat too”. Praying is one step but a lot of times the answer to our prayer looks different than we envisioned. I don’t know where this notion came that answered prayers looked like final results. A lot of times, it’s work to help us get what we want 😉 All is well, thanks! Sending lots of love your way! ❤

    1. It’s funny that you say that, I was just reading an article that mentioned the same thing about prayer. It’s not a genie lamp, every wish isn’t our command. I agree, it should be things that we should aspire to be and start out or follow up with gratitude 😉
