Meet & Greet|Cool Drinks On Hot Nights

Thank you so much to all of those that attended! This party is now over, but there will be another one soon so stop back by!

Welcome to the party! It’s been awhile since I’ve hosted but make yourself at home! There’s plenty of snacks and appetizers! I have refreshments but I know on a hot summer nightย there’s nothing better than your favorite refreshing beverage to sip as you mingle. So by all means, set yours on the table after you pour yourself a glass! I hope you brought plenty to share and if not leave the recipe and the guests can help themselves to something on the house!

There aren’t many rules but just to keep things in order, here are the rules of engagement:

  1. Share your the name and or recipe of your favorite drink to have on a hot summer night

  2. Post the link of another blogger’s post or blog in your comment

  3. Leave a link to one of your own posts

  4. Share, share, share!! The more people that stop by the more exposure participant’s blogs get and the more bloggers we meet!

Don’t forget to mingle! If you like a drink someone mentions, let them know! If you’ve never heard of a drink, ask them what’s in it! Guess what? The more you interact, the higher the odds of that blogger (and others) checking out your blog! Don’t take my word for it, give it a try and see for yourself! ๐Ÿ™‚

Mojito

My favorite drink on a hot summer night is a Mojito! I can’t share the recipe because I don’t know how to replicateย my stepdad’s perfect concoction but I’ve got him making batches up all weekend so you can try to recreate it yourself!

  1. Hey there! I’m Jess from Not the Average Mama!

My favorite summer beverage would have to be a margarita on the rocks made with fresh lime, lemon, and orange juices! (fresh juices make the drink taste WAY better, plus less calories ๐Ÿ˜‰)
The blog I’m sharing with everyone is my friend Stephanie from Making Time For Me. Steph is my stepkids mom, an amazing blogger and my friend!

Well my favorite summer beverage is an Oberon. A local beer made here in Michigan! I couldn’t tell you how to make it, LOL. It is a wheat beer with a lovely hint of citrus flavor, serve it with a slice of orange and it is incredible!!
I was already going to share Jess’s blog with you guys and now it seems only right since she shared mine that I can return the favor. Jess is my kids step-mom, my friend and a fabulous/honest writer! Go check her out!! https://notheaveragemama.wordpress.com/

    1. I looooove sangria! I like that you can use different fruits to change the flavor. The best sangria I’ve ever had was in this little beach side restaurant in Mallorca. Thanks for stopping by, can’t wait to check out your links! Happy Friday!

  3. Hi y’all! I’m Niki. On my blog, I write about my life as an Army wife from Texas living in Upstate New York for the next couple of years, until our next move, and everyday life.

I love a nice glass of ice cold lemonade on a hot summer’s day!

For my link to another’s blog, I’m actually posting a link to my meet and greet from last weekend, where I shared 30 different blog posts: https://nikisthoughts.wordpress.com/2016/07/01/meet-greet-summer-traditions-style/

And here’s a link to one of my own posts that I’d like to get seen: https://nikisthoughts.wordpress.com/2016/06/21/military-musicians-funding/

    1. Oooh I looove lemonade! I like it the slightest bit tart but most people usually find it too sweet… Thanks for stopping by and sharing a link with so many bloggers! Happy Friday ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. Hi there ๐Ÿ™‚

I think I have a thing for Nikis, having discovered 3 of you in the past week, while blog surfing around ๐Ÿ˜‰ For me, summer rhymes with Long Island ice tea… And it is even better shared with good friends on a terrace ๐Ÿ™‚

I would like to share a post from a dear friend. He writes about lots of subjects, travels, food, family business… But mostly fantasy. Here is the first episode of a mystery series revolving around the characters of the famous game Clue. https://everythinginandarounddenmark.wordpress.com/2016/06/21/who-done-it-a-summer-mystery-tale/

I don’t like to promote my own blog, still feeling pretty new to the whole blog thing. My writing is still amateurish, but if you want to visit me, here’s a story I enjoyed writing, not so long ago ๐Ÿ™‚ https://cyranny.wordpress.com/2016/05/24/forget-lips-think-hands/

A great summery week end to all of you ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Much to my young daughter’s surprise, I’m not the only Niki around :0 Glad you found your way to the party! I’ve never had a Long Island Iced Tea, I’m partial to sweet mixed drinks. Thanks for sharing the link! Sending you lots of inspiration to write and the courage to put it all out there! Happy Friday! ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. Hi, I’m Pam. My favorite drink on a hot summer night is vodka, cranberry juice, and ice. Yeah, simple as that!
