A-Z Challenge: Quirky

This is part of my A-Z Challenge posts. I’ve chosen emotions and states of being as my theme, so here is where the letter “Q” took me.

Do you know anyone that’s quirky? What is it about the that makes them that way? Strange but endearing. Odd but interesting. Different in the best way. Do you consider yourself quirky? Don’t quite fit in but not cast out either. We might all have our quirks but quirky people give the world flair and a perspective we might otherwise miss out on. I’ll have to be honest, the first person that comes to mind when I think of the word quirky is Quentin Tarantino. As a movie lover I couldn’t imagine movies like Pulp Fiction or Inglorious Bastards directed by anyone else? At the end of the day, how is “normal” defined anyway?

What do you think about the word quirky? Is it a feeling or a state of being? Are you a bit quirky? Is there a quirky one in your inner circle? Do they know they are the quirky one?

  1. I must admit to using the word quirky to describe muses in my profile. I like to think that it means I’m a bit different, a bit odd in a nice way. Maybe I’m just kidding myself but I like the way the word rolls off my tongue. Nice post!!
