Thank you!! I had an idea in the back of my mind for what I wanted to do when I reached my next milestone. Little did I know that I would be able to roll it out so quickly! Things have really taken off for me this time around and I’m so happy to have made so many great connections! When I reached 100 followers the next number that seemed unimaginable to reach was 500. I thought it would take a year at least to get there. Having decided to do something upon reaching 100 followers I thought it would be appropriate to do something else upon reaching 500. I jotted some ideas down and the one that I decided on was a challenge.
I hope to get as many people to participate as possible. When taking that into consideration I had to think of things that wouldn’t discourage people from participating. Time, difficulty and convenience were governing factors when deciding the details of the challenge. The other thing is I’m aware April is a huge challenge month in the blogging world as the A-Z Challenge is going on so I didn’t want to hinder participation by adding a challenge on top of a challenge. This is just to let you know that in the near future, I’ll be hosting annual Kindness Challenge, the details will be provided in a post on its own.

As you may or may not know, I attempted blogging 3 years ago and it just wasn’t for me. I didn’t know how to find blogs and found myself writing to an empty audience. I didn’t know how to get started or really what I even wanted out of my blog. I walked away and forgot all about it. About two years later, I started reading blogs that I liked and decided to give it another chance. The timing wasn’t the best as I was pregnant with my second daughter and while I enjoyed it I had to set the idea aside for a while. In January of this year, my husband asked why he hadn’t seen me write anymore. Even though I didn’t blog I’ve always kept a journal as well as written short stories or little quotes of inspiration.
I too wondered why I suddenly stopped writing as it has always been such a big part of my life. I decided to give blogging another try because I did want to open up and write to an audience.
I came up with daily topics to make the self proposed challenge of posting daily a little less daunting. I played around with the ideas and was inspired by other posts I came across to narrow it down to the weekly topics I use now. Just with posting daily I began to see my readership grow. I began reading and commenting on blogs of those that found their way to me and then I started interacting with readers that commented on their posts. Again readership grew. I found my way to a meet and greet and set my first milestone, upon reaching 100 followers I was going to start hosting my own meet and greets.
I started blogging on January 17th with 52 followers from my last blogging attempt. I changed my blog theme and name completely and hoped that they would start reading what I wrote. By the first week of February I had reached 100 followers. I scrambled to get a meet and greet together to start hosting every other weekend. I wanted to be sure to host on opposite weekends of Danny because he inspired me to make that my first milestone and I wanted to continue to promote his on one and mine on the other. Here I am roughly two and a half months after I began this third attempt at blogging and my followers have gone from 52 to over 500!!
I am so thankful to you for reading, liking, commenting, clicking and supporting me in all of the ways that you do. It means so much to me to know that all of the time and effort I put into this is appreciated by someone. I love interacting and getting to know you. This is a social venue for me as I put very personal posts on my blog and you are getting to know me in a way that most people I physically meet don’t.
Thank you so much for all of your interaction and support. It’s what fuels me to keep brainstorming ideas, to keep looking for the lesson in my experiences, keep sharing things that others can relate to, and keeps me writing even when I know I should probably go to bed. You are the fuel behind my blog!
